The 14ce is a 6-string, right-handed, standard-scale Grand Auditorium with a Venetian cutaway. It pairs a solid torrefied spruce top with layered 2-piece sapele back and sides, and the roasted top is intended to add warmth and a played-in character to a clear, projecting voice. Cantilevered V-Class voicing inside the body is aimed at sustain, volume and low-end response.

The neck is hard rock maple with a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard, 4mm dot inlays, a standard carve, a 25-1/2" scale and a 1-11/16" nut. The body, neck and peghead have a matte finish, with a black pickguard, no binding and a paddle peghead. Tuners are die-cast chrome, and the strings are D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze lights.

For amplified playing it has an onboard Fishman Presys VT system with volume and tone controls mounted in the soundhole. The system runs on a 9-volt battery, which sits inside the soundhole near the neck joint. A gig bag is included. Staff answers on the page say this model is built in Taylor's Tecate, Mexico factory.
