Sunset

Sunset is a dual-channel overdrive pedal that combines six overdrive and boost circuits, with two independent sides that can run in series, reverse series or parallel. It suits guitarists who want to stack classic drive tones in one compact unit.

  • Six circuits: Ge, Texas, Treble (A); 2 Stage, Hard, JFET (B)
  • Series, reverse series or parallel stacking via Config switch
  • Class-A JFET input stage with up to 20dB analog gain
  • Optional variable-threshold noise reduction
  • MIDI via expression jack, 300 preset locations
  • True bypass or selectable buffered bypass

Descripción

Sunset pairs two independent drive channels in one enclosure. Channel A offers Ge, Texas and Treble circuits, while Channel B offers 2 Stage, Hard and JFET circuits. Each side has Level, Drive and Tone controls, and the tone ranges are calibrated separately for each circuit type. A class-A JFET input stage supplies up to 20dB of analog gain, and DSP algorithms model the character of each circuit.

A three-position Config switch sets the signal flow: A into B, B into A, or both in parallel. A three-position Bright switch shapes the top end to suit darker or brighter amps. An optional variable-threshold noise reduction, set through a secondary function on the B footswitch, reduces hum and buzz when the player is silent. Bypass is either true bypass using a relay or a selectable analog buffered bypass.

The pedal has mono input and output jacks, a Favorite input for an external latching switch, and an expression jack that can morph several knobs or work as a volume control. The expression jack also carries MIDI through an optional MIDI EXP cable, giving access to 300 preset locations. Power is 9V DC, and the supply is not included.
