The VideoMic Me-C is a directional microphone that plugs into the USB-C port of a mobile device. Its pickup pattern reduces surrounding noise so the sound stays focused on what is being filmed, which suits video shooting on a phone or tablet.
A 3.5mm jack on the microphone provides a headphone output for direct monitoring and playback. A mic clip holds the microphone securely, and a furry windshield is included for outdoor use and adverse weather.
It works with mobile devices that have a USB-C input and run Android OS 10 or higher. It can be used with the Camera app and other recording apps, and with the free RØDE Reporter App, which records 24-bit, 48kHz audio in standard or compressed mode, shows a waveform display and input meter, and can update the microphone's firmware.
