The Q SUB100 is a powered subwoofer with a 254 mm paper-cone driver in a sealed (infinite baffle) cabinet. Because there is no port, it can sit close to walls and furniture. The cabinet is built from 18 mm MDF with a 36 mm double-thickness baffle and internal dart bracing. It is offered in Satin Black with a black grille or Satin White with a grey grille.
A custom amplifier module combines DSP, power amplifier and power supply, using four digital amplifier stages in a parallel bridge-tied load configuration. The DSP detects whether the incoming signal is stereo or mono and its level, then adjusts gain automatically. Phase inversion and delay adjustment help align the subwoofer with the main speakers, and the low-pass filter is adjustable from 40 Hz to 250 Hz.
It takes a line-level input, with a 20 kΩ input impedance, from a preamp, active speakers or a home cinema system. The box includes four spikes with locking nuts and covers, a mains cable and a user manual.
