The № 5105 is a two-speed turntable built around a heavy, brushed aluminum plinth machined from one billet and a 14 lb aluminum platter whose underside is coated with resonance-damping material. The plinth sits on three adjustable isolation feet, each with an internal suspension, and a built-in white bubble level helps with setup.
The 10-inch high-gloss carbon fiber tonearm tube is fused to a one-piece aluminum headshell with an integrated finger lift, and a custom gimbal gives low-friction movement in both planes. A 12V synchronous motor is mounted on isolation and driven by a digitally generated control signal, so speed does not drift with temperature. Speed (33/45) and standby are operated from buttons on a glass and aluminum front panel. A factory-fitted Ortofon moving coil cartridge is available as an option.
The built-in wide-range power supply accepts 90-260 VAC and four AC cables are supplied. The platter mat and user guide come in a 12-inch double LP gatefold jacket. The turntable is designed and handcrafted in the USA.
