RP-500M II

The RP-500M II is a bookshelf speaker that pairs a 1" Linear Travel Suspension titanium diaphragm tweeter with a 5.25" Cerametallic woofer. The tweeter sits behind an enlarged 90° x 90° hybrid Tractrix horn with a silicone composite face and phase plug, and its housing is vented to reduce standing waves. A Tractrix-shaped port handles bass output and is intended to keep port noise low.

The cabinet has additional internal bracing to limit resonance and vibration. It comes in ebony or walnut vinyl finishes with satin-painted baffles and a scratch-resistant surface. A removable grille attaches magnetically, and cork pads on the base replace rubber bumpers for placement on a stand or table.

Connection is through a redesigned input panel with audiophile-grade wire and aluminium binding posts that are easy to reach. Klipsch also offers matching 28" speaker stands for these speakers. A spec sheet and a product manual are available as downloads.
