HiFiMAN EF400 is a desktop DAC and balanced headphone amplifier built around HiFiMAN's own Himalaya R2R (resistor ladder) DAC module. It connects to a computer or streamer over USB, converts digital playlists to a natural, analogue-sounding signal, and drives even demanding planar magnetic headphones with up to 4.4 W of balanced output.
- Himalaya R2R ladder DAC, NOS (non-oversampling) and OS modes
- Up to 4.4 W balanced output: 4.4 mm and XLR-4 headphone outputs, 6.35 mm single-ended
- USB input (PCM up to 768 kHz, DSD256)
- Balanced XLR and RCA line outputs for connecting an external amplifier
- Low / high gain switch, full-size desktop chassis
