The IS-AMP1275-BK is a modular 12-channel amplifier using discrete Class D topology. Each channel is rated at 75 W into 4 and 8 ohms, and outputs can be bridged for 150 W. Of the 12 outputs, 8 are assignable, so a room can be driven from in-ceiling speakers while one output feeds a powered subwoofer in the same room. High-pass filters can be applied to in-ceiling and in-wall speakers.
Audio routing is a full matrix handled by DSP and a CPLD, so any input can be sent to any output. Every output has a full parametric equalizer, and presets for ELAC speakers are available to simplify setup. Setup and tuning are done through a web-based interface with a status screen showing channel state and input and output levels. Settings can be saved to replicate them across projects.
For reliability, each zone has a 16-bit microprocessor that monitors voltage, current and temperature. The system watches 10 thermal points using 10 microprocessors, 3 DSPs and 1 CPLD. IP commands are available for Control4 and Crestron, and the unit occupies 2 rack units.
