The MS-100BT is a stompbox-format multi-effects unit with 100 effects covering distortion, amp models, modulation, delay and reverb. Up to six effects can run at once in any order. It stores 50 user patches alongside 30 presets, and offers patch cycling, tap tempo, Auto Save for patch parameters and a chromatic tuner that handles standard guitar and bass tunings as well as open and drop tunings.
Bluetooth links the pedal to iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (iOS 4.3 or later). The free StompShare app lets the player browse, preview, purchase and download further effects wirelessly, and the Bluetooth link also handles firmware updates.
The pedal has dual 1/4" inputs, which accept active and passive instruments, and dual 1/4" outputs. A backlit LCD with contrast control helps in dim venues. It runs on two AA batteries, or on an optional Zoom AD-16 AC adapter, and is small enough for a gig bag or an existing pedalboard.
