The CD-RW900SL records and plays audio CDs through a slot-loading transport. It uses 24-bit A/D and D/A converters, includes sample rate conversion, and can play back MP3 files. Disc reading speed is selectable, and CD-RW discs can be erased or un-finalized.
Playback functions include key control (changes key without changing speed), pitch control, and continuous, single, random or program play of up to 99 tracks. Repeat modes cover all, single and A-B. Recording offers automatic or manual track division and sync record start. Time display can show elapsed, remain, total and total remain. Menu options include Auto Cue, Auto Ready, an MP3 action setting that guards against accidentally ending continuous MP3 playback, and a switch to enable or disable the infrared remote.
On the back are unbalanced RCA analog inputs and outputs plus coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital I/O. The front panel has dedicated left/right input level controls. A PS/2 keyboard can be connected for CD-TEXT entry and remote control, and a wireless remote is supplied.
