Dual-well professional cassette deck in a 3U rack format, with two twin-head decks that can each record or play back. It suits studios, houses of worship and fixed installations that still need cassette recording and dubbing. Discontinued and replaced by the 202MKVII.

The 202mkV has two cassette wells, each with twin heads, and either deck can record or play. Dolby B and Dolby HX Pro noise reduction are fitted. Dubbing runs at normal or high speed, and sync reverse dubbing is also supported. Both decks can record at once, which produces simultaneous masters.
This fifth generation added a return-to-zero function and an A-B repeat that plays a section of tape up to 20 times. Continuous play and continuous recording are provided, and the deck powers on directly into play or record. Deck 1 offers ±12% pitch control. A front-panel microphone input with its own level control makes quick recordings simple.
Tape types supported are normal and chrome for recording and playback, and metal for playback only. The unit is built for 3U rack mounting. The maker lists the model as discontinued, with the 202MKVII as its successor. An owner's manual and DXF line drawings are available for download.
