The SR-BV4 is a studio condenser microphone built around a 34mm large diaphragm. Its supercardioid pickup pattern focuses on sound from the front, which suits vocal recording and general studio work. The body is made of metal.
The microphone connects through a gold-plated XLR connector and needs 48V phantom power, which is normally supplied by an audio interface, mixer or preamp with that feature.
