The VAD706 pairs real wood shells and double-braced chrome stands with multi-sensor digital pads for the snare (PD-140DS), ride (CY-18DR) and hi-hat (VH-14D). Rack toms, a floor tom and a 22-inch KD-222 kick pad complete the five-piece layout, with mesh heads of two or three layers. It comes in four finishes: Gloss Natural, Gloss Cherry, Gloss Ebony and Pearl White.
The TD-50X module has more than 900 onboard sounds and uses Prismatic Sound Modeling and PureAcoustic Ambience. Kits can be edited at the level of shell depth, head type and cymbal character. Mic settings, EQ, compressors, reverbs and multi-effects are available, and you can import your own WAV samples from an SD card. Practice tools include a metronome, Coach mode, a recorder and a mix input for playing along with music.
On the rear panel are stereo XLR master outs and eight TRS direct outs. A 32-channel USB audio/MIDI interface and five-pin MIDI connectors cover computer use. Four auxiliary trigger inputs let you add pads or a second kick.
