The D8E is an 8K video processor that takes one HDMI 2.1 input and is built for 8K source management and splicing. It has a front-panel touch screen and shortcut keys, and suits AV integrators working with 8K sources.

The D8E is a video processor aimed at 8K sources. Its single HDMI 2.1 input accepts 8K material up to UHD (7680×4320) at 30 Hz with 4:4:4 colour, or at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 sampling. This goes beyond the range of processors designed around 4K.
Operation is from the front panel, which has a built-in 2-inch LCD touch screen and shortcut keys. The unit can also be controlled through XPOSE 2.0 and has an open API. It offers 8K EDID management, layer cropping and scaling, and standard output resolutions. Layouts can be reconfigured on the fly, and hot swap is supported.
For multi-screen setups, the D8E can splice unequal screen sizes with genlock synchronisation and offers several layout options. Firmware is delivered together with the XTOOL updater, and the latest XTOOLS and XPOSE versions are listed on the product's download area.
