The twenty5.22 is the larger of the standmount models in PMC's twenty5 series. It pairs a 6.5 inch (170mm) long-throw g-weave cone woofer on a cast alloy chassis with a 27mm PMC/SEAS Sonolex fabric soft dome tweeter that is ferrofluid cooled. The two drivers cross over at 1.8kHz.
Bass loading uses PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) design with an effective line length of 2m (6.5ft), combined with a Laminair vent. The aim is greater low-frequency extension from a compact cabinet, with a quoted response of 39Hz to 25kHz and a sensitivity of 89dB (1W, 1m). The nominal impedance is 8 ohms and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 200W.
Connection is by one pair of 4mm binding posts. The cabinet measures 410 x 192 x 373mm and each speaker weighs 10kg. A 20 year warranty applies if the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms. The model is listed in the maker's archive.
