The D 3020 V2 is a small integrated amplifier that continues the idea of the original NAD 3020 for current sources. It uses HybridDigital amplification with NAD PowerDrive and is rated at 2 x 30 W into 8 ohms, with higher dynamic power figures into 4 and 2 ohm loads. A 24-bit/192 kHz DAC handles digital playback.
Sources include Bluetooth with aptX for phones, tablets and laptops, optical and coaxial digital inputs for TVs, computers and disc players, an analogue line input, and a moving-magnet phono stage with RIAA equalisation and infrasonic filtering. A pre-out allows a subwoofer or external power amplifier to be added.
Bass EQ and soft clipping circuits are included to help compact speakers play fuller at typical listening levels. Standby power is 0.5 W or less. The chassis measures 58 x 186 x 219 mm and weighs 1.38 kg, so it fits on a desk or a small shelf. Firmware version 2.1 is listed for download.
