Integrated amplifier with a built-in preamplifier and power amplifier in a dual-mono design, rated at 125 W per channel into 8 Ω and 250 W into 4 Ω. It suits hi-fi listeners who want a single-chassis amplifier and can pair it with a network player/DAC such as the MOON 681.

The 641 combines a preamplifier and a power amplifier in one chassis. It uses a dual-mono layout and vertical heatsinks. MDCA (MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier) works outside the signal path to reduce distortion without global feedback. M-VOL3, a third-generation electronic gain control, handles volume adjustment, including at low levels.
A 4.3-inch colour graphic LCD supports daily use and setup. Standby can be set to a low-power mode that draws 2.5 W. The BRM-1 intelligent remote control comes with the amplifier.
The rear panel has line inputs, a line output and speaker terminals. MOONLink lets the 641 coordinate with other components in the North Collection, including the MOON 681 network player/DAC. The amplifier is designed and assembled in Québec, Canada.
