The Origin50 Combo is a single-channel valve combo built around two EL34 power valves and three ECC83 valves. Its 12" Celestion G12N-60 Midnight 60 speaker is rated at 16Ω and 60W. The Powerstem system lowers the voltage rails around the power amplifier, so output can be switched from 50W to roughly 10W or 5W without the usual pentode/triode reduction methods.
Tone is shaped with Gain (which pulls out for a boost), Tilt, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master and Presence controls. The Tilt control moves smoothly from a standard tone to a brighter one, a feature taken from the multi-input design of older Marshall amplifiers such as the 1959SLP and JTM45. There is no built-in effects section, but a series effects loop that can be switched on and off is fitted.
The amp has one 1/4" instrument input and a footswitch input for a 2-way footswitch, which controls the gain boost and the effects loop. Outputs are three 1/4" speaker jacks (16Ω or 8Ω load) and a 1/4" DI output. The cabinet is black and weighs 18.2 kg. A detachable power cable is supplied.
