The AirCon DT-AR1 is a wireless remote for managing a studio monitor setup. It has a graphic LCD with blue backlight and large, clearly laid-out buttons. It can address up to a 7.4 monitor system: front left and right, centre, side left and right, rear left and right, and up to four subwoofers. Channels can be controlled as a group or one by one.
From the controller you can set volume (from mute up to 0 dB), mute, and three-band EQ trim for high, mid and low in steps of -2 dB, 0 dB or +2 dB. A high-pass filter can be set to flat, 60 Hz or 80 Hz. The housing is rugged aluminium.
The controller talks to the monitors over the 2.4 GHz wireless band. It assigns an IP address automatically, which avoids conflicts when more than one studio is in use, and installations of up to 64 studio rooms are supported. The AirCon wireless controller module is built into compatible monitors.
