The F57SP-8 is a centre channel speaker built around a 200mm IsoFlare point-source driver, which combines a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter on a neodymium magnet system. A second 200mm multi-fibre bass driver and a 200mm ABR (auxiliary bass radiator) with electromagnetic damping complete the 2½-way design.
Sensitivity is 92dB (2.83V at 1m) into a nominal 8 Ohm load, with 100W RMS continuous and 400W peak power handling. Recommended amplifier power is 30–200W RMS. The crossover is a bi-wired passive low-loss design, 2nd order low pass and 1st order high pass, with crossover points at 250Hz and 1.7kHz. The ABR can be set for free-space or boundary placement.
The cabinet is pressed, internally braced high-density MDF and weighs 19.8kg. It comes in Piano Gloss Black, Walnut or White. The maker lists it as a partner for F502SP floorstanders and the larger F700 Series.
