Stellia is a pair of closed-back hi-fi headphones built around a 40 mm pure beryllium M-shaped dome driver with an unsupported coil. The design aims for low moving mass, detailed reproduction and controlled dynamics. Inside the earcups, vents, EVA foam and acoustic diffusers are used to absorb high frequencies and reduce standing waves.
The headband and yoke mechanics are taken from the Utopia model, with a constant curvature between the two. The headband is full-grain leather, the yoke is solid aluminium, and the ear pads use shape-memory foam. Half of the pad height is non-perforated full-grain leather and the other half is acoustic fabric over memory foam. The headphones are offered in cognac and mocha finishes and weigh 435 g.
The headphones connect by wire only. A 1.2 m cable with a 3.5 mm jack suits portable use, and a 3 m 4-pin XLR cable suits home systems. A 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm adapter is included. A running-in period of several hours is needed to reach full performance; 24 hours at fairly high volume on bass-rich tracks is suggested to speed it up.
