Descripción
The Standard Precision Bass follows the original 1951 Precision Bass layout: a poplar body with a gloss polyurethane finish, a bolt-on maple neck with a satin finish and a 34-inch scale length. The "Modern C" neck profile is paired with a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard that has 20 medium jumbo frets and a Micarta nut.
Sound comes from a Fender Standard ceramic split single-coil P Bass pickup, controlled by one master volume and one master tone knob. There is no pickup switching. The 4-saddle top-load bridge uses satin chrome steel barrel saddles, and the hardware is finished in chrome. A 3-ply pickguard, vintage-style disc string tree and a 4-bolt neck plate complete the build.
It is a passive instrument and connects to an amplifier or audio interface through a standard instrument cable. It comes strung with nickel-plated steel strings in .045-.105 gauges. Four colors are offered (3-Color Sunburst, Black, Candy Cola and Olympic White), with Indian laurel or maple fingerboards depending on the finish.
