Metal Muff with Top Boost

The Metal Muff is an analog distortion pedal built for heavy genres. Its distortion knob sets the amount of input gain, from a tight, pinched edge to full saturation, and a volume knob sets the output level. A three-band EQ gives up to 14 dB of bass cut or boost, up to 15 dB on the mids and up to 10 dB on the treble, so the midrange can be contoured precisely.

A separate Top Boost has its own footswitch, LED and level knob. When engaged, it lifts a narrow band of high frequencies to add bite for leads. The main bypass switch uses buffered bypass with a high input impedance, and an LED shows when the pedal is active.

The pedal is mono, with a 1/4" input jack and a 1/4" output jack, in a compact die-cast chassis. It runs from the included 9V battery and draws 25 mA. An optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter is available separately.
