The DCB41-DS is a Designer Series powered bass-reflex speaker pair. Each cabinet pairs a 3/4" soft dome tweeter with a 4-1/2" polypropylene woofer, and a built-in amplifier delivers 50 watts x 2. The woofer has a long-excursion design with a wide-rolled surround for added bass output. The bass reflex port is routed to the rear in an S configuration to extend low frequencies and reduce port noise.
A bass enhancer called XBass can be switched on or off to increase bass extension and output. Inputs cover HDMI (ARC), USB audio (96 kHz / 24-bit), optical, a switchable line/phono input and Bluetooth with aptX. A subwoofer output and a speaker output are provided. An infrared remote is supplied, and the firmware can be updated over USB.
The pair measures 140 x 247 x 170 mm and works on 120-240 volt mains, so it can be placed on a desk, shelf or beside a TV.
