The W800BT Plus is a closed, wireless stereo headphone built around a Qualcomm QCC3024 chipset with Bluetooth V5.1. It uses 40mm NdFeB moving-coil drivers and decodes aptX (16-bit and 24-bit signals at sampling rates up to 48kHz) as well as SBC. A built-in microphone with Qualcomm cVc 8.0 noise reduction is used for calls to suppress background noise.
The headphones can stay connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time, which makes it possible to switch between, for example, a work laptop and a phone. The EDIFIER CONNECT app extends the controls, allowing the user to choose a sound mode and rename the headphones for pairing. Playback and call control through the headphones requires the paired device to support AVRCP.
Comfort features include soft leather earmuffs angled at 15 degrees and a stainless steel headband that can be adjusted by bending. The built-in lithium battery gives about 55 hours of wireless playback and is charged over USB-C in roughly 2.5 hours. Weight is 195g.
