Floorstanding loudspeaker from DALI's discontinued EPICON series, built around two 6½-inch wood-fibre woofers and a hybrid soft-dome/planar tweeter. Aimed at home hi-fi listeners who want a wide-dispersion, low-distortion stereo speaker.

The EPICON 6 is a floorstanding speaker using a 2½ + ½-way design. Two 6½-inch low/mid drivers with wood-fibre cones are made at the maker's Danish facilities and use a Soft Magnetic Composite magnet system intended to reduce distortion. Crossover points are 700 Hz, 2,550 Hz and 15,000 Hz.
High frequencies come from a hybrid module that pairs a 29 mm soft dome with a 10 x 55 mm planar tweeter. The planar element reaches down to 2.5 kHz and gives continuous wide dispersion as the dome becomes more directional higher up. The cabinet has curved sides with no parallel surfaces and is built from 6 layers of MDF. Separate internal chambers let each woofer be tuned individually, with a bass port directly behind each one.
The cabinet is available in a satin black finish, and a removable grille is shown on the product page. Connection is by passive speaker cable from an amplifier rated for 50 to 300 watts. The model now sits in the maker's discontinued range.
