Descripción

The GB64JJ is a bolt-on, J-style bass with an offset soft maple body. Cort positions the soft maple as a balance between bright clarity and a thicker tone, and the shape is intended for comfort both seated and standing. The neck and fingerboard are roasted maple, a treatment that gives a golden-brown vintage appearance and added stability.

Electronics are built around two Voiced Tone VTB-ST J-style single-coil pickups and a 9-volt battery-powered active preamp. Controls are volume, blend and a 2-band EQ. A push/pull volume knob switches between active and passive operation, so the bass can be played with or without the preamp.

Other details include an ergonomic neck joint for easier access to the upper register, a vintage-style bridge, open gear tuners and chrome hardware. It has 20 frets, a 34-inch scale, a 1 1/2-inch nut and black block inlays. It ships with D'Addario EXL165 strings and comes in Natural or Black.
