The smart matrix SILENT is a record washer for shellac and vinyl discs. A universal cleaning arm can be set to any record size, and swinging it over the disc starts the wash cycle automatically, so no separate power button is needed. Fluid is applied by an integrated pump at the press of a button, and the turntable platter can be run in either direction.
Motor, pump and the supply and collection tanks for the cleaning fluid are the same as in the double matrix professional SONIC. The controls follow that model's design, with push buttons replacing the earlier toggle switches. Sound insulation reduces the noise of the vacuum turbine during cleaning, and the turbine is designed for long life and many cleaning runs in a row.
The housing is MDF in black or silver. A universal clamp for all record formats and a single adapter are supplied; the matching cover is sold separately. Power draw is up to about 300 W, and the machine draws 0.0 W when switched off at the rear switch.
