Formation Bar is a wireless sound bar that combines three double dome tweeters with six woven glass fibre cone bass/midrange drivers in a slim cabinet. It uses a digital amplifier, digital signal processing and dynamic EQ, and decodes Dolby Digital. The frequency response is stated as 40Hz to 28kHz.
Streaming is handled over a network connection, either WiFi or RJ45 Ethernet. Supported services and protocols include Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Roon Ready. Bluetooth 4.1 input is also available, with aptX HD, AAC and SBC codecs.
A Toslink digital audio input takes the signal from a TV or other source. A USB port is fitted for service use only. The bar is listed in a black finish, in new and refurbished condition, and runs from a 100V–240V 50/60Hz supply, drawing below 6 watts in sleep.
