The C151 is a pencil-style condenser microphone built around a 16 mm electret diaphragm with a cardioid pickup pattern. A transformerless FET circuit gives it a low noise floor and a wide dynamic range. It is aimed at capturing musical instruments and ambient sound, and is also positioned for podcasters, streamers and video creators.

The frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 11 mV/Pa and a maximum SPL of 143 dB for 0.5% THD. Self-noise is 21 dB(A). The slim body, 22 mm in diameter and 140 mm long, weighs 147 g, which makes it easy to place in tight spaces. The body is made from 100% recycled metals and alloys, and the packaging is recyclable.

The microphone connects through a 3-pin XLR and is powered by 48 V phantom power, drawing 5 mA or less. An H82 microphone clip is supplied. The maker lists vocals, piano and strings, horns and woodwinds, drums and percussion, and guitar and bass amps as suitable sources.
